About the presenter
Jean
Craig Long is a consultant and development coach who helps
nonprofits build solid business, administrative, and funding
infrastructures for adaptability and sustainability in the new
economy. She brings 30 years of development experience to
nonprofit executives and board leaders. She has started two
planned giving programs from scratch, the Mint Museum of Art,
and UNC Charlotte and continues working with clients today who
want to maximize their development efforts and integrate gift
planning strategies. Jean received the Women of Achievement
Award in Recognition for Leadership in Public Service to the
state of North Carolina from the Integral Science Institute,
a nonprofit research and educational center focusing on great
change in civilization.
| “I’ve attended several
of Jean's presentations over the years and they feel
more like conversations regardless of the size of the
audience. Her delivery is very "audience friendly" - no
industry jargon that may trip up someone new to the
nonprofit arena while at the same time being thorough
enough for the seasoned attendee to learn something new.
A fun presentation - very interactive and Jean does a
great job of blending humor with outstanding
information. At the end of her presentations, the
audience gathers around Jean as if she is a rock star.
Everyone has a question for her or wants her opinion on
something that they are doing at their organization.”
