Who We Work With
Our clients are nonprofit
visionaries and leaders who are passionate about their
organization’s purpose and potential. Each organization’s
culture is uniquely shaped by the personalities and expectations
of its stakeholders: the executive, board members, staff,
donors, volunteers, and recipients of services.
Nonprofits come in all shapes and sizes and all of them share
the goal of attracting the resources they need to grow.
Are any of the
following true for you?
-
You have great people on your board but some
of them suffer from a lack of understanding about their roles
and responsibilities. Meanwhile, you are left feeling alone
at the helm and vulnerable.
-
You’re wrestling with many of the same issues
you had last year. You’ve attended some excellent training
seminars but the results are short-term and nothing seems to
change. The enthusiasm you feel at seminars fades once you
return to the office.
-
You’re considering a campaign in the future
and want to prepare. You realize that behind-the-scenes
preparation clarifies the vision, sets the intention, and can
identify potential challenges and special gifts - you’re not
sure where to begin.
-
You have a clear vision for your organization
and want to grow with financial strength and success. You
realize that while you have some loyal donors, there are
probably more out there and you’re too overwhelmed to think
about it.
-
You have expertise and it’s not in the area
of development. You were hired for leadership,
administrative, or technical skills and can tell your story
well. You don’t have much experience in development and may even
prefer not to ask people for money, so you’d like to find ways
of meeting these goals and still work from your strengths.
-
You could accomplish more if support and
specific information were readily accessible and if you could
stay on track. Sometimes the sheer volume of demands is
overwhelming and it’s easy to get side-tracked. It would help if
you had guidance to know if you’re on the right track and to
sort out the true priorities.
Our clients are:
Board members – leaders and volunteers who share a sense of
ownership
Executive Directors / CEOs / Vice Presidents – anyone
responsible for the overall effectiveness of the organization or
program.
Directors of Development
All of the above
You’re most likely to succeed with us if you….
Adhere to the highest standards of honesty and integrity.
Believe in your organization’s purpose and are committed to
making a difference.
Are willing to learn new things and consider new ideas.
If this describes you, please proceed to How We Work.

“I first met Jean at a seminar on non-profit management. She was
teaching the class, and it was apparent that she had extensive
experience advising non-profits of all shapes and sizes. When we
were able to retain her to work directly with my organization, I
knew that we would be well served by her guidance and advice. We
were not disappointed, as we continue to benefit from her
pragmatic suggestions on how to operate more effectively. I
would recommend her to any organization seeking to become more
efficient and sustainable.”
